Meaning “star” in Spanish, Estrella indeed shines when it comes to vegetarian dining in Prague’s center. With a cozy and low-key interior, it’s a great spot for lunch or dinner. The à la carte menu is a patchwork of international cuisine with an emphasis on quality and freshness, including tasty options such as parsley risotto with grilled portobello and truffle, a spinach quinoa burger and Thai Tom Yum soup. There’s also a daily lunch menu including soup, salad and a main course, made with seasonal ingredients. The restaurant uses around 20% organic ingredients for the seasonal menu, offers beer and wine from local breweries and vineyards and cleans with eco-friendly products.
“Food is a heart matter. I see it as a form of art and expression. I want to show people that vegetarian cuisine can be not only healthy, but also visually attractive, rich and flavorful.” – Jan Lobreis, owner and chef of Estrella
